We respect your right to delete your data. This page explains how to request account deletion and what happens to your information.

Quick Delete Request

To delete your FitFur account, send an email to:

1) How to Request Account Deletion

To request deletion of your FitFur account and associated data, please send an email to hello@fitfur.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".

Include the following in your email:

  • Email address associated with your FitFur account
  • Username (if applicable)
  • Reason for deletion (optional, but helps us improve)

Verification: We may contact you to verify your identity before processing the deletion request to protect your account security.

2) What Data Is Deleted

When your account deletion request is processed, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

Account Information

  • • Name and email address
  • • Password and authentication data
  • • Profile picture
  • • Account preferences

Pet Profiles

  • • Pet names and details
  • • Breed and health information
  • • Photos and media
  • • Wellness records

Activity Data

  • • Activity history and logs
  • • Wearable device data
  • • Health tracking records
  • • App usage data

Community Data

  • • Posts and comments
  • • Community interactions
  • • Followers and following lists
  • • Saved content

3) Data Retention Exceptions

Certain data may be retained for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes even after account deletion:

  • Transaction Records: Purchase history and payment records may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and financial regulations.
  • Legal Compliance: Data required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
  • Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, de-identified data that cannot be traced back to you may be retained for analytics purposes.
  • Backup Systems: Data in backup systems will be purged according to our standard backup rotation schedule (within 90 days).

4) Deletion Timeline

Here's what to expect after submitting your deletion request:

Within 7 days — your account will be inaccessible

Within 30 days — all personal data removed from active systems

Within 90 days — data removed from all backup systems

5) Important Information

Warning: Deletion is Permanent

Account deletion is irreversible. Once completed, your data cannot be recovered. Please download any data you wish to keep before requesting deletion.

Before requesting account deletion, please consider:

  • Active Subscriptions: Cancel any active subscriptions before requesting deletion to avoid continued billing.
  • Credits and Rewards: Any remaining credits, points, or rewards in your account will be forfeited.
  • Shared Data: Content you've shared publicly may remain visible but will be de-identified (your name/profile will be removed).
  • Wearable Devices: Unpair any FitFur-connected devices before deletion to reset them for future use.
